Reviewing Godmode: The Autonomous Agent

A powerful tool that harnesses the concepts of AutoGPT and BabyAGI.

Godmode is an online platform designed to harness the potential of AutoGPT and BabyAGI.

Background:

Godmode took its inspiration from popular open-source Autonomous Agent frameworks like AutoGPT and BabyAGI. It can run on both GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, foundational Large Language Models offered by OpenAI.  It is being developed by @_Lonis_ and @emilahlback.

AutoGPT refers to autonomous AI agents that leverage the power of GPT (Generative Pretrained Transformer) models. GPT is a type of transformer-based machine learning model, designed to generate human-like text based on given input. It's a type of unsupervised learning model, which means it learns patterns in data without having explicit labels for what each pattern means. The way AutoGPT works is by taking in some initial input text, and then it uses this as a basis to generate additional text that is contextually relevant to the input. For example, if you give it the start of a sentence, it will try to complete the sentence for you in a way that makes sense based on what it has learned from the training data. The autonomous part of AutoGPT refers to its ability to take actions and make decisions independently, based on its programming and the available data.
BabyAGI, refers to a rudimentary form of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). AGI aims to create a system that can understand, learn, and perform any intellectual task that a human being can do, as opposed to most AI that is designed to excel in one specific task. In practice, BabyAGI systems are designed to learn and adapt to new situations, much like a human child does. They do this through a process of trial and error, learning from their mistakes, and gradually improving their performance. While a BabyAGI system might still struggle with complex tasks or require some human assistance, it represents an early step towards creating an AI system with broad, human-like capabilities

As mentioned, Godmode is powered by GPT3.5/GPT4 which generates the ideas for the autonomous activities, like suggesting a task list based on the objective you provided. It can also browse the internet and find data that becomes handy to do sentiment analysis of stocks.

Godmode gives you detailed reasoning for every action it wants to take and asks for your approval. You can either approve or give the agent feedback if you feel that it is headed in the wrong direction--a very handy feature.
